This Week!
 Summer Support Group for Divorced, Separated, Widowed:  “When You Find Yourself Single Again,” Saturday August 30, 10am, at St. Timothy Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road.  People from all area parishes are invited. Please call Myra Fecteau, the facilitator, at 410-302-0754.

Annual Labor Day Festival, Monday, Sept. 1, 12-5pm, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Thurmont.  Family style fried chicken and ham dinner (adults-$10, children 6-12-$5, 5 and under-free). Air conditioned dining room and ample parking.  Live music by the Home Comfort Bluegrass Band, bingo, large White Elephant sale, bake sale, raffle, Country Store and kiddie games.  Enjoy a day with us!

Fall Bible Studies, St. Peter the Apostle Church, Libertytown.  The Great Adventure Bible Timeline classes will be held 7-9pm on Thursday evenings, beginning September 11.  1 Corninthians , a dvd-based Bible study, will be held on Wednesdays, 9:15-11:15am or 7-9pm, beginning September 10.  For more information call 301-898-5111.

Sadie Hawkins Dance, Friday, September 12, 7-11pm, St. Peter, Libertytown.  Kick-off for the monthly “Great Dates” marriage enrichment program. Bring a picnic basket supper, drinks and dessert provided.  Discussion, music, bonfire.   For more information call 301-898-5111.

Prison Ministry Retreat: Called to Serve, Saturday, Sept. 13, 9:30am-1pm, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Center, 103 N. Church St., Thurmont.
 Prison volunteers and all who might be considering this important ministry are invited to attend this retreat. The morning will begin with a light breakfast; speakers are St. Vincent de Paul Prison Outreach Coordinator Sister Dolores Chepiga SSJ and a longtime volunteer Bill Harrigan.   No fee.   If you plan to attend, please contact Sister Dolores at DChepiga@vincentbaltimore.org or 443-263-1931.
