Pastoral
Associate/Assistant Director of Campus Ministry:
The Pastoral Associate for Campus Ministry furthers the Catholic mission
of the University through active participation in the spiritual life of
the community. The Associate/Assistant Director is part of the team in
Campus Ministry and Community Service, which also includes the
Chaplain/Director of Campus Ministry, the Director of Community Service,
and the Music Director. Together with the staff, student interns, and
volunteer student leaders s/he is responsible for programming and the
work of the Office of Campus Ministry and Community Service.
Other duties will pertain to: retreats, faith formation, peer ministry.
As a member of Campus Ministry and Community Service team, the Pastoral
Associate is expected to be present at the Principal University Mass on
Sunday evenings and at major Campus Ministry-sponsored events and
activities.
Candidates must be practicing Roman Catholics in good standing. Minimum
qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in theology, religious
studies, or other related field (Master’s Degree preferred). Related
previous experience: Campus Ministry, Youth Ministry, KAIROS retreats,
Adult Faith Formation, Peer Ministry. Must be proficient in the use of
Microsoft products. The position requires a high level of leadership
skills and proven experience. Must be available to work Sunday (late
afternoon – late evening), plus one weekday evening.

Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor, Buckeystown, MD. The DRE will manage and
further develop catechetical and sacramental programs serving children
(birth - 5th grade) and adults, and also an intergenerational
program, to ensure parishioners have appropriate grounding in their
faith and offer ways to deepen their relationship with God. Involves
supervising one staff person and numerous volunteers.
Requirements:
practicing Roman Catholic; Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education,
Theology, or related; five or more years experience directing a parish
faith formation program; current certification in faith formation, a
strong passion to envision and implement programs facilitating lifelong
growth in faith; exemplary skills for leadership, collaboration,
organization, planning, and communication; proficiency in Microsoft
Office products.
